A four-time All-American and 2000 NCAA Division I National Champion in wrestling, Brock Lesnar found his true love in mixed martial arts. After debuting in the sport in 2008, he entered the UFC in 2008 and made a positive impression in his bout against former heavyweight champion Frank Mir at UFC 81. Six months later, he showed the progression in his game as he defeated perennial contender Heath Herring, but it was last November that he established himself as the top big man in the sport as Brock Lesnar stopped Randy Couture to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Interim UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir was seemingly destined for greatness when a serious motorcycle accident in 2004 sidelined him for almost two years. After a long rehabilitation process, Mir regained championship form with back-to-back wins over Antoni Hardonk and current UFC champ Brock Lesnar, and on December 27, 2008, he made a huge statement by becoming the first man to stop the legendary Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. On July 11th Frank Mir looks to regain the crown he never lost in the Octagon.
