World Middleweight Championship
ANDERSON SILVA Vs. DAN HENDERSON

Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson

ANDERSON SILVA

6' 2 "
185 Lbs.
Age: 32
Record: 20-4-0
From: Curitiba, Brazil

UFC Middleweight Champion, Anderson Silva enters UFC 82 sporting a perfect record inside the Octagon - five fights; all victories; all finishes. Possessing some of the most dangerous standup skills in the game today, Silva can knock an opponent out in an instant. But, if his opponent thinks it will be any easier on the ground, he is mistaken. The champ holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He showed off his grappling skills in submitting TUF-4 winner Travis Lutter at UFC 67. But will he be able to ward off the attacks of Dan Henderson?

DAN HENDERSON

6' 1 "
185 Lbs.
Age: 37
Record: 22-5-0
From: Temecula, California

Dan Henderson had long been recognized as one of the top 185-pound fighters in the world. It wasn't until he won the Pride Grand Prix tournament, though, that he finally captured gold in the form of the Pride 183-pound championship. He would go on to capture the Pride 205-pound title, as well, with a devastating knockout of Wanderlei Silva. Last September, Dan battled Quinton Jackson for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, dropping a hard-fought decision. Now, he's back at his more comfortable weight, and he thinks he has what it takes to defeat Silva.
