Chuck Liddell Vs. Wanderlei Silva

CHUCK LIDDELL

6' 2 "
205 Lbs.
Age: 37
Record: 20-4-0
From: San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell is a sure bet for the UFC Hall of Fame. In his illustrious career, he has battled every top fighter in the sport at 205 pounds, but one - Wanderlei Silva. Now, after years of anticipation, Liddell will finally meet his nemesis inside the Octagon. And the stakes couldn't be any higher. Liddell coming off two straight losses at the hands of Quinton Jackson and Keith Jardine, wants nothing more than to be the champion again. To get back to the title, he will have to defeat the former PRIDE Champion Silva.

WANDERLEI SILVA

5' 11 "
205 Lbs.
Age: 31
Record: 31-7-1
From: Curitiba, Brazil

It has been more than seven years since the man known as the "Axe Murderer" has fought inside the Octagon. After a decision loss to Tito Ortiz in April 2000, Wanterlei Silva ventured to Japan where for the next several years, he solidified his legacy as one of the most feared fighters in the world. Of his 31 wins, 21 have come by knockout including two stunning victories over current Light Heavyweight Champio Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Silva, like Liddell, is coming off two straight losses. If he hopes to face Jackson for a third time, he must defeat Liddell.
