UFC 78: VALIDATION
|
MICHAEL BISPING 6'2" Undefeated winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 3, England's Michael "The Count" Bisping ran his record to a perfect 14-0-0 on September 8 in London with a split-decision victory of Matt Hamill. The victory was not without controversy though, as many fans felt Hamill deserved the decision. Nonetheless, Bisping was awarded the victory and climbed a rung higher on the light heavyweight ladder. At UFC 78, he will face his toughest test to date as he battles another undefeated winner from the Ultimate Fighter, "Sugar" Rashad Evans. |
RASHAD EVANS 5' 11 " Since winning the heavyweight division on season 2 of The Ultimate Fighter, Rashad Evans became one of the most well-rounded light heavyweights in the sport of MMA. A small heavyweight to begin with, Rashad knew that, with some help, he could shine at 205 pounds. That help came from top trainer, Greg Jackson. Since joining Jackson's camp, Evans has improved with every outing. His last bout saw him fight to a draw with former world champion Tito Ortiz. Evans knows in a rematch he can defeat Ortiz, but first, he must beat Michael Bisping to get that chance. |
