FORREST GRIFFIN 6'3" It's hard not to love the attitude of UFC light heavyweight contender, Forrest Griffin. A tireless worker in the gym and a scrapper inside the Octagon, the Georgia native has yet to be in a boring fight in his six-fight tenure in the UFC. Griffin is remembered by many for his two memorable wins over Stephan Bonnar, but perhaps more important is his controversial defeat in April of 2006 at the hands of Tito Ortiz, where he proved that he not only can put on great fights, but that he can compete at the highest levels of the game. |
HECTOR RAMIREZ 6' 0 " Hailing from the same East Los Angeles neighborhood that produced boxing superstar, Oscar De La Hoya, wrestling and kickboxing standout, Hector "Sick Dog" Ramirez knows that he won't be getting any favors in his bout against respected contender, Forrest Griffin. Then again, with an impressive 6-2-1 pro MMA record (his only losses are to light heavyweight contender, Rashad Evans and hard-hitting James Irvin), Ramirez has shown that he deserves this shot. And all it takes is one swing of his explosive right hand to knock out his opponent and send him along the path towards the championship. |
