Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Tito Ortiz returned to the Octagon on April 15th after a 14-month hiatus to defeat The Ultimate Fighter season 1 winner, Forrest Griffin by decision. After having been a coach on season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter, Ortiz is looking to recapture the Light Heavyweight Belt from its current holder, Chuck Liddell.
The next step on that journey is a rematch with his arch nemesis, Ken Shamrock - a man who he has already defeated once at UFC 40 in November 2002.

Record: 26 - 10 - 2
In all his years of fighting, Ken Shamrock has only ever hated one man - Tito Ortiz. The hatred stems from Ortiz disrespecting Shamrock and the Lion's Den at UFC 18 after defeating Jerry Bohlander. The bad blood grew through the years. Shamrock finally got his chance to fight Ortiz at UFC 40. Even though he was injured, he would not miss the opportunity to silence his arch rival. In the end, Shamrock could not overcome the younger, healthier Ortiz.
Now a healthy Shamrock gets a second chance to silence Ortiz once and for all. |
