Tim Sylvia is a former UFC heavyweight champion. He suffered the first defeat of his career last June to Frank Mir, losing his title in the process. In his first fight back, Tim recently knocked out Wes Sims in Hawaii in just over a minute.

Due to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, Frank Mir is unable to defend his heavyweight championship. The winner of this bout will be recognized as the interim UFC heavyweight champion and will face Mir to unify the title when he returns.

Arlovski has long been recognized as the number one contender in the heavyweight division. He has not lost a fight in over two years. Is it finally his time to wear the belt?
