PACQUIAO IS CROWNED, AGAIN!
Manny Pacquiao thrilled his legions of fans by battering the now former WBC lightweight champion, David Diaz in 9 lop-sided rounds. Manny has now 4 title belts in 4 different divisions, truly an amazing feat.
Although moving up in weight, the Pacman was stronger and much too quick for the bigger Diaz, who, if nothing else, provided excitement and bravery during his beatdown.
Diaz took a brutal beating and was cut on the nose, received a nasty gash over his right eye and a swelling over his left eye.
The end came in the 9th, with Pacquiao throwing and connecting with a perfectly timed straight left down the middle, which sent Diaz crashing face first to the canvas.
Pacquiao, now 47-3 (35 KO's) is the new lightweight king and may very well deserve the best pound for pound fighter in the world.
