Marco Antonio Barrera added Robbie Peden's IBF version to his own WBC title belt with a one-sided drubbing over twelve rounds.
Barrera out-classed and out-punched his surprisingly reluctant opponent who either wouldn't or couldn't get into any meaningful exchanges with the classy Barrera. Peden who won perhaps only two rounds in the entire contest , was knocked from pillar to post. In the twelfth and final round, he managed to end the fight on his feet, and one got the impression he was satisfied just to go the distance.
It's upward and onward for the undisputed champ, Barrera, who has plenty of fight still left in him.
